Just out of curiosity I'd like to know what the chances are of my son having my husband's eye color.


I have hazel eyes, and my hubby has blue eyes. I have read somewhere that normally blue eyes are dominant, but our first son has hazel eyes like mine..

If you have hazel that means you carry both green and brown- both are dominant. Blue is recessive so you both would have to have blue to pass that to your child. Since you've got hazel you know for sure that you won't give a blue gene. SO, your child will either have brown or green. You probably gave your first child your brown and your husband gave blue and the brown is very light so some of the blue is showing through to give the appearance of hazel.What eye color possibilities are there?
That is a cool website that the first two posters gave you. I did me and my husband and it said that our children would have a 70% chance of getting green eyes and a 30% chance of having blue eyes. My son has blue eyes though! Maybe this next baby will have green eyes.
every baby is different just depends on when your egg and sperm came together which gene was dominant this time around it could be complete opposite of your first kid or the same..o way to really know until he gets here sorry and even within the first year of life eyes can change colors.
My brother and his wife both have brown eyes but one of their sons has blue eyes. There are blue and brown eyes in the grandparents. It seems to me that if there is enough variety in the grandparents then all sorts of eye colours are possible.

Which eye color would look best with black hair and fair skin?

My family members almost all have dark brown eyes,except my sister who has pretty, light brown eyes(which i am very jealous of) So i want to get contacts for my eyes. If you have dark brown eyes and dark black hair, I would say go with a Hazel brown color, because I have hazel brown contacts and dark brown eyes and they make my eyes look dark green. We are about the same from what you described. But if you feel that green is best for you, go with dark green...

I recently heard that there has been a study by Dr. Bernie Siegel on people with multiple personalities, and subjects were observed to have a change in eye color when their mind shifted from one personality to another. Definitely some kind of blue, it would look beautiful against your skin. But don't go too vibrant, or else it will look too fake. If you want to go all out and make it look fake, but striking, I would try a vivacious green or a bright yellow. :)

Yes, I think it just depends on the person but I'm glad to hear that your eyes change color too. My boyfriend is bipolar and whenever he is in a really good mood his eyes change to a gold, when normally they are a dark brown to sometimes even a black brown. I'm glad to hear he is not the only one, because It really concerned me at first.

i would go with a foundation that will automatically adjust to ur skin tone cause with tanned people, it can be hard to find a shade that matches your tan color. no blush or anything else, just foundation. if you wear blush while your tanned, it looks really wierd. for hazel eyes, it can vary. L'Oreal has some eye shadows that they make for all eye colors, and they really make your eyes pop. a light pink or peach gloss would look great with tanned skin.What kind of makeup should i wear with my skin tone and eye color?
Hazel eyes work nice with almost all colours, especially browns/bronze/plum colours. Your cheeks should be contoured slightly and a dash of bronze will really look nice. Your lips colour should be around nude/light pink/peach. Smile and be confident with yourself. Peace.
For lip gloss I would suggest a medium pink shade, like watermelon from Stila. Blush, something from the Tarte cheek stain collection. Any color works wonders%26lt;3


For eyeshadow, purple is the best. Try something from Urban Decay.
I suggest a pinkish orange lip gloss (possibly peach), a lighter bronze blush, and a lighter shade of eye shadow. :]

I've noticed that about ymself. Whenever I'm really mad, or in physical pain, my eyes seem to turn from a brown to a hazel, almost green sometimes. I don't have an explanation, but it's quite common, especially in hazel colored eyes. It changes when your crying, or tired, or had a good night sleep, the list goes on :)

there is a tool on photoshop that i use. it is like an airbrush and yoou can use colr, but it doesn't completely change the color like on the paint program. it adds color to the eye i can't explain it. you have to play around with it to figure it ouot.How to change your eye color when using photo-shop?
This is what I do, I fond it gives me greater control (this is for PhotoShop CS3 or CS4 on a Windows platform).





Zoom into the eye area, the picture should be fairly large, at least 1200X1600 pixels.





Then use the Polygonal Lasso tool (I find it gives me greater control than the plain lasso). Using the tool click on an area just barely inside the eye, since the Polygonal Lasso only goes in straight lines you go straight a little bit, then click, go straight again but in slightly a different direction, then click again until you've come full circle around the iris. (The reason that you start slightly inside the iris is because the iris has a very small dark ring on the outside, most people don't know this)





Now that you have one iris selected, you have to add the other iris, again use the Polygonal Lasso, except this time you have to hold down the shift key to add to the selection, then use the same technique as before.





Once you've completed the selection make a ';Feather'; around it, this will smooth the selection, press Control+Alt+D at the same time, in the box that opens put a 1 or a 2.





Now you will copy the selection by pressing control+C, then immediately paste the selection on top of the image by pressing control+V. Now you'll have a layer with just the irises.





Now you can recolor using the following tools and depending on what you want to achieve:

To slightly adjust the lighting use:

Sometimes in pictures the eyes come out pretty dark, and some people have naturally dark eyes, in these cases I opt for a complete iris replacement using irises from a collection of pictures of facial ';parts'; that I have, but you can find plenty of pictures of irises by using Google Images.
Trace your irises with the selection tool. Copy %26amp; Paste. Make sure the pasted layer lines up perfectly with the original eyes. Under ADJUSTMENTS choose the hue/saturation tool and use the sliders to change the color. Alternatively, you can choose REPLACE COLOR and do the same thing.
Duplicate your image on a second layer on top of your first layer.





Erase everything else other than your eyes - every single thing except for the thing you wan to change color





Then use HUE to adjust the color of the eye.

NEVER wear any form of blue eyeshadow. It is the tackiest thing alive. The best look for any color blue eyes is gold. The answer is probably more complex than you would imagine. It depends on how many genes control the expression of both of those traits.





But assuming one gene controls eye color and one gene controls eye shape, the probability would be 25% because:





50% chance of inheriting eye color gene from one parent AND 50% chance of inheriting eye shape of other parent, and 0.5 x 0.5 = 0.25 = 25%.

Eye color and eye shape are two entirely different things and are controlled by different genes. It also has to do with dominant and recessive genes. With eye color, brown is dominant and blue is recessive. If you have brown eyes it is because you inherited at least one dominant gene for brown eyes. Since brown is dominant, it will always overcome the recessive gene. If your parents have brown eyes and you have blue eyes, each must have a blue and a brown eyed gene in each parent. It that case, there is a 25% chance that their offspring will have both dominant brown eyed genes. There will be a 50% chance that their offspring will have a mixture of 1 brown and 1 blue eyed gene but have brown eyes because brown is dominant. There is a 25% chance that their offspring will have blue eyes when both recessive genes show up. The matter of eye shape is the same thing. It has to do with dominant and recessive genes and which ones your parents pass on to you.
It is possible, but not likely. Darker eye colors are dominant, so your child will probably inherit your eye color.

well, ive had really light baby blue eyes since i was born. and my eyes havent changed...
The average age is 6-8 weeks- however, it could happen at any time during their life that the color may fade.

However, be aware that some people's eye color changes later. My daughter had green eyes, then they went to hazel and then brown. Now they are going back to hazel. My son had blue eyes even though his dad and I are green and brown. Those recessive genes can pop through so just because you and your baby's father don't have blue eyes it doesn't mean the baby won't.
It is possible they will stay the same color but a lot of babies start off with beautiful blue eyes and then they change later on at maybe 1 or 2. If anyone down the line in your family has blue eyes you have achance. But seeing as you and your spouse have brown eyes it is unlikely.
I had heard that if they are going to change it be around the 6 month mark. I am so glad that my babies eye colour didn't change, they are a pretty blue as well.
