How do I get my eye color NOT to show through when wearing color contacts?

i have naturally strong blue eyes. Everytime I try to wear color contacts the blue always shows through. Even if its brown contacts, the blue seems to over power them. How do I get my eye color NOT to show through when wearing color contacts?
are you wearing real contacts from an eye doctor? or just the colored ones you can buy at random vendors?

if they are real contacts, they will typically cover the color properly. if they are the cheap ones you buy randomly, you really shouldn't use those. they are not healthy for your eyes. contacts need to be fitted specifically for YOUR eye and buying random ones cannot allow for this. these are also not professionally made and may contain dyes that could harm your vision. the lack of professionalism in the making of the lenses also accounts for the color not doing as it should. How do I get my eye color NOT to show through when wearing color contacts?
I have the same problem - it was solved by using contacts for dark eyes. You're probably using tinted contacts, which work well on most people. Instead, ask your optometrist about dark eye color contacts. They have color printed on them, instead of just having a tint (i.e. the blue won't show through)
you need to talk to the person that dispenses your contacts. colored contacts come in 2 forms (last time i was checking them out) some are very opaque and some are more more of just a strong tint. the opaque ones have small areas of clear and that is to allow your natural eye color through to create a more 'natural' look. frankly, i think those opaque contacts are hideous on people, and especially the violet colored ones. i have never seen purple eyes except on the sci-fi channel. i quit wearing the colored ones because i got sick of people asking me if my eye color was natural.
beautiful blue eyes...SHOW THEM..don't hide them!
