I heard 2 parents with blue eyes can have brown eyed offspring and wondered how far back do the genes go in family lines. I thought each person carried 8.How many eye color genes does one person carry?
At least three gene pairs on two different chromosomes are known to influence eye color in humans. Several others are suspected.
