How do I get the smoky look for night and my eye color to pop during the day?

I have dark brown hair, blue eyes, and very pale skin. I try to find colors other than brown to wear to make my eyes pop for the day time and shadows for a smoky sexy look at night, but where do I begin? I eye lids are very oily, and the brown shadows look horrible after mid day. The colors seem to make my eyes look sunken in. What should I do and what brands last the longest? How do I get the smoky look for night and my eye color to pop during the day?
dont use black makeup if your pale. try mink and cream colors.

you have to know how to use depth in makeup shadowing so work on that. and go to a local sephora for helpHow do I get the smoky look for night and my eye color to pop during the day?
Go to my website and do a virtual makeover. There is also applicaton tips there. This might help you, if not contact me and I will do a personalized look for you.
I have oily eyelids too and I've got a system in putting on makeup now so my shadow hardly budges. L'oreal makes a foundation, I think it's called cashmere perfect or something similar, but put that on your eyelids first and then go over it with your face powder. put your eyeshadow and liner and everything on afterwards and it should stay put for longer.

when it comes to long lasting eyeshadows, I really like l'oreal regular line and their HIP line as well. a great way to get your eyes to pop in the day but to still stay kinda subtle is to get a peach eyeshadow (even something kind of orange) and put it all over your lid, and then use navy blue eyeliner. it contrasts and brings out the color of your eyes. it sounds wierd but trust me, it looks good.
try a shimmery blue eyeliner for the daytime. the blue helps make your blue eyes look, well, bluer and more obvious. add on a light pastel blue background shade, if you like.

maybe you should stick to dark browns and beiges for your evening makeup. play around with it at home (when you're free) to perfect the blending - it's worth it in the end.
I would just go to Sephora or a makeup counter in a department store and have a makeup specialist apply different colors for you. Pinks may be good for you, and also try mixing different colors together. Like brown for your crease and pink on your lid. If your lids are oily, try using an eyeshadow base. MAC and several other brands carry this. Also, when it comes to good eye makeup, it's all about application, and good application comes from good brushes. I would try investing in a few good eye makeup brushes (Sephora has their own brand which isn't too pricey). The makeup specialists there can show you how to apply the eye makeup to achieve different looks. I would try to explain it on here how to achieve the ';smoky sexy look'; but I think it's best if someone actually showed you how to do it.
First off for the oily part, use a shimmery white or light tan eyeshadow. shimmer tends to be thicker than matte. Then PURPLE in lovely shades, not electric neon colors look great on anyone. and brown eyeliner with two coats of mascara a great for days. Then at night on the corners line heavier with eyeliner and two more swipes of mascara.
sure a lil bright blue with shines gurlter color and also use it as eye liner and make it darker for that..

and LONG lashes..
