What lip / eye color should I wear with a bright red evening dress?

I am going to a wedding and will be wearing a formal bright red dress. I cannot decide what type of makeup to do - color and drama-wise. I will be wearing my hair up, and it is dark blond. I have gray/blue eyes and naturally pale skin (although I will be getting an airbrush tan). Thanks, everyone!What lip / eye color should I wear with a bright red evening dress?
I would try doing a taupe-y smokey eye and a pinky-nude lip.

I think since you are wearing a bright red dress, it will catch everybody eye. I recommend you, first to make up your eyes in black (I do not agree on eyeshadow, I think they look artificial) with a thick line on the top eyelid if your eyes are small, on the other hand, they are big you may underline the eyes, wear black eyelash mask. Your lips should be not that bright colored but you may wear a gloss or glitter, just to ';mention'; your lips and make a contrast with your dress.


I think that this is the appropriate make up because you will be getting an airbrush tan, framed with the dress and finished with the natural make up.
well since you have blue eyes..to make them pop wear like dark brown eyeliner with maybe a brown smokey eye..it would look cute but not like you spent the wholeee day doing it...umm if you said you were wearing a black dress i would say add it with a red lip..it looks really good! but dont wear a red lip with a red dress thats wayyy to mugh red..so maybe just wear a nice lipgloss or something.

first of all, you are not supposed to wear red to a wedding. Red, white and black are all off limits, but that is beside the point. I would wear a somewhat dramatic eye. Gray and charcoal mostly, with silver on the inside corner and mascara. I would keep the lips simple, with just some gloss.
Try to make your face look natural as possible, or another thing you could do is make sure your eyes are heavily made up, like lots of liner, mascara, eyeshadow, but nothing too clownish. Then keep the rest simple, natural foundation, nude lip gloss, and no blush.

natural on the lips...bit of gloss maybe a little lipliner not to much on the eyes ..slightly charcoal colour keep it at a min the dress will say it all.....just make sure the bridesmaids aint red lol
